Affiliations with other Organizations

While the Museum of the Horseless Carriage is a completely separate 501(c3) organization, we are closely affiliated with the Horseless Carriage Club of America.  It is the goal of the Horseless Carriage Club to preserve originality or restore these automobiles to their original condition, use them for their original purpose of driving and completing tours, and promote the preservation of their historical value.  If you have a greater interest in owning, touring in, or just learning more about the pre 1916 era of the automobile, we highly suggest a membership in the HCCA.  Membership information for the HCCA can be found here.

The Museum of the Horseless Carriage is on the campus of the Gilmore Car Museum, however it is a separate 501(c3) entity from the Gilmore.  The Gilmore has created a very special campus and environment that not only has their primary museum, but also several partner museums all in one location. The Mission of the Gilmore Car Museum is to tell the history of America through the automobile. They foster experiences which connect people with the history, heritage, and social impact of the automobile through collecting, preserving, and interpreting its story.  This mission aligns with our mission very closely and that is why we are located at and closely aligned to the Gilmore Car Museum.  Find out more  at this link
